The Diverso String Quartet was founded in 2013 by four young and ambitious musicians: Dagmara Forys and Marcin Ostrowski (violins), Magdalena Kravchuk (viola), Sophie Lodygowski (cello). The members of the quartet have won awards at a number of prominent chamber music competitions including the special prize at the first Karol Szymanowski International String Quartet Competition in Katowice in September 2014. In the same year they were fellows of the association Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now in Berlin and in March 2015, in recognition of their artistic achievements, they were selected to receive the ‘Mloda Polska’ (‘Young Poland’) scholarship funded by the Polish government.
As an ensemble, they have studied chamber music at the Berlin University of Arts with the famous Artemis Quartet and in September 2015 they completed the renowned "International Artist Diploma" music course at the Royal Northern College of Music. Furthermore each member of the quartet is a laureate of numerous solo competitions and they have performed extensively as soloists, chamber musicians and orchestral musicians in prestigious concert halls in Poland and in Germany, Belgium, Great Britain and Austria.
